Are you a referringphysician?
Dr. Yolanda Ho, DDS is a Periodontist in Newton Dentistry. Dr. Ho is a lifelong learner whose passion for knowledge spans clinical care, research, academia, and professional leadership. Raised in a family of educators, she lives by the belief that “information accrued only lends itself to more questions asked.” This philosophy fuels her commitment to patient education, which she views as key to long-term oral health.
Having grown up without access to dental care and experiencing dental anxiety herself, Dr. Yolanda brings deep empathy to her practice. She partners with patients to help them take ownership of their dental journeys, always prioritizing comfort and understanding.
Dr. Yolanda's dedication to excellence is reflected in her leadership roles as class president at UCSF, chief resident at Tufts, and President-Elect of the Washington County Dental Society in Oregon. In research, she has received national and international recognition, including 2nd place in the IADR Sarnat Craniofacial Biology Award and 1st place at Interdepartmental Research Day at Tufts for her work on silver diamine fluoride and periodontal pathogens. Clinically, Dr. Ho is skilled in bone and soft tissue grafting, implant placement, ridge and sinus augmentation, osseous surgery, and guided tissue regeneration. She was honored with the Portland Top Dentist Award and often documents cases with clinical photography to enhance diagnosis and treatment planning. Dr. Ho currently teaches at Tufts School of Dental Medicine, where she enjoys mentoring students and residents in comprehensive, thoughtful patient care. She remains committed to advancing dental education, improving clinical outcomes, and, whenever possible, sharing a laugh in the chair.
